Lake Mary Prep High School Students Learn the Power of Their Voice

Lake Mary Prep Upper School students had a valuable and engaging experience, thanks to a visit from Seminole County Supervisor of Elections, Chris Anderson. Mr. Anderson spoke to our 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students about the importance of voting and active civic engagement.

The presentation provided students with a deeper understanding of how their participation in the electoral process can shape their community and their future. It was inspiring to witness our students' enthusiasm and their growing awareness of the power of having a voice in the decision-making process. They asked insightful questions and showed a genuine interest in becoming informed and active citizens.

A special thank you goes out to our senior students who helped organize this important voter registration opportunity. Their initiative and leadership in promoting civic engagement among their peers are commendable. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Chris Anderson for taking the time to connect with our LMP students and for making a difference in their understanding of the democratic process. His dedication to educating young people about the importance of voting is invaluable. We believe that empowering our students to become informed and engaged citizens is essential, and this event was a significant step in that direction.
